Re-Making Your Favorite Recipes
A question and answer style lecture about How to replace ingredients, With What you can replace ingredients, and When and Where it is best to substitute which ingredients. We'll even make a recipe from start to finish.
Grains
A detailed introduction into naturally gluten free grains are which and the basics of how they can be used for cooking and baking -- quinoa, millet, amaranth, rices, and more. We'll even make a recipe from start to finish.
Setting Up Your Kitchen
The absolute basics – what it is, where it is found, where is it hidden, basic equipment to have on hand, basic ingredients to keep in stock, cross-contamination, etc. ('it' is whatever your dietary needs require), I'll assist you as we go through the kitchen of the person hosting the event -- for a hands on experience, (one-to-one classes can occur at your local grocery store for assistance with labeling at the grocery store).
Sweets
Cakes, Frostings, Cookies – three sweet treats – a hands on course where you will prepare, make, and serve each dish from start to finish.
The B.L.D.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner – three dishes, beyond sweets – a hands on course where you will prepare, make, and serve each dish from start to finish.

Each course gives full attention to one dietary need at a time. The Benevolent Kitchen focus options include: Free of Gluten, Wheat, Dairy, Nuts, also Vegan, Low-Fat, & Low-Sodium, or one of the many other special dietary needs -- we understand that you may need to have us include more than one special dietary need into each recipe -- no worries -- personalizing recipes can be as low as an additional $15 per course.
